OMG, 2008 is going to be history!!!
Everyone is coming up with lists. I will have only two. The first is about great music and the second about the great things we should remember...

Music:
10- Taylor Swift.
She became the new country princess and her sophomore album is the biggest female debut this year surpassing big names as Mariah Carey, Madonna, Beyonce and Britnay Spears. Even those who dont like country music started listening to it.

9- The Killers and Guns&Roses
These two rock acts made an impressive comeback. Fans were still there and they did bring good rock music for potentials gigs.

8- Rihanna & Chris Brown
This very hot rnb couple rules the charts over a year now. They both release deluxe version of their album, went multi-platinum and toured together. Rihanna even got 8 hits in her album making her lp the one with the most hits.

7- Britney
Hummm, after almost three year spending her time with the paparazzi, hard night-life and scandals, her new album debuts big and already drops two top three hits. We'll see how she'll manage 2009 and her tour.

6- Ne-yo
After producing the biggest names in music, Shaffer Smith or Ne-yo released his third album. The "gentleman" gave us a solid rnb album which is commercially successful and critically acclaimed. And he is nominated for 6 grammys.

5-Katy Perry and Lady Gaga
If you havent heard of them this year, tell us where you were. They took radios and the international chart by storm.

4-AC/DC
This is the biggest comeback this year. In their first week they sold more than 800000 albums in the US and they bowed to 3 millions worldwide in less than three months.

3- Hip-hop
2008 seemed to be hip-hop age of grace with release from Snoop Dogg, TI, Kanye West, Young Yeezy, Nas, The Game, the resurrection of Eminem. And they all topped the charts. Also TI is the artist who spent more time in the top on the Hot 100, 13 weeks (to date)

2- Lil Wayne
I'm not a big fan but He is 2008's music. With all his chart topping duets, he release his third album which went platinum just in one week. With the albums'sales drop, this is HUGE. He is also nominated with 8 grammy awards and he has the top selling album in 2008 in the USA.

1- English acts
With Coldplay, Leona Lewis and Duffy topping the charts all over the world, UK must be proud. Coldplay has the 2008 top selling album worldwide with over 6 millions in six months and Leona Lewis has the 2008 top song with Bleeding Love. Duffy is critically seen as the best new artist and her album is the second top selling this year.

This is one of the best youtube video. You've probably already seen it but it wont hurt :) Enjoy
