  11. Meat eaters have double the rate of Alzheimers disease as Vegans & Vegetarians
  12. Meat eaters are two and a half times more likely to get bowel cancer than Vegetarians
  13. Chinese people (living mainly on a vegetarian diet) consume 20% more calories than Americans but Americans are 20% fatter

I gave up meat for lent. I don't usually give up anything but i thought it was a good excuse to give my body a break from meat. I feel great. I am considering giving up until I hit my weight lose goal, but to eat a lot less meat from now on.
